  • In 2001, the Foundation established a goal to accumulate $300,000 of base investment corpus for Grants.  Until that was met the board allocated one-half of the Foundation’s annual income to Grants and the other one-half to meeting the $300,000 goal.  As of September 2007, the Foundation has assets totaling $318,490.  So during the 2007-2008 period the Foundation was able to grant 100% of its earnings.  These earnings, along with money provided by the Club thru the KHTE were Granted $40,550.  However, due to the recent downturn in the economy our corpus has dropped and we are again moving toward the $300,000 goal.  Due to this turn in our economy the amount we will be able to Grant out for 2008-2009 will be about half of the prior years amount.


The Foundation has and actively managed portfolio with investment advice and guidance from Dixie Roberts.  The Foundation has a sub-committee that meets with Dixie quarterly to review the investment performance and discuss the portfolio allocation.
